ParticipantHi Carrie! I didn’t write down your phone number during the chat last night, and now I can’t get back in to those messages. Will you give me a call (520 609-2415) when you have a few minutes to chat about socializing puppies? Thanks!

Participant(I can save this for the Q&A next week, but I wanted to put it here so I don’t forget.) A question on tongue flicks: the description says a tongue flick that indicates concern/stress goes straight out/over the nose. Some of the videos, though, show dogs licking around the side of the mouth, from front to back. Am I understanding correctly, then, that those videos aren’t showing tongue flicks that indicate concern, but are instead dogs just licking their mouths for any number of other reasons? Or are those also considered tongue flicks that indicate stress/concern?

ParticipantI’m Julie; here to work with my foster dog, Arvin. He is a 1 1/2 year old lab mix who has been in rescue most of his life. Arvin is loving, smart, great with cats and other dogs, and absolutely terrified of people. My primary goal in working with him here is to help him enough with his fear and anxiety that he can have a good quality of life. My secondary goal is that Arvin will someday be adoptable and have a family of his own.
